What do development professionals, educationists, pastors, social workers, financiers, fundraisers, directors, and writers have in common? A love for Salone.
Sierra’s Solutions was started by a group of individuals who were either born and raised in Sierra Leone, or their parents were. We have heard the endless conversations about the state of our nation. We’ve agreed and disagreed, made plaba, and made peace, been disgruntled, and been discouraged.

We believe in practical solutions. Our think tank generates research and policy recommendations, while our development arm brings those ideas to life on the ground.
Instead of allowing our desire to see the people of Sierra Leone thrive—a desire we believe true Sierra Leoneans possess, even if they express this differently—we decided to focus on the solutions. One man can ne’re do much, but many hands make good, impactful, legacy-leaving work.
In 50 years, we want our children and their children to tell a different story about Sierra Leone—a better one. And we want to be part of that change.
